Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Visits Frontline in Pasrur to Honour Armed Forces
Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Minister for Defence, Minister for Planning and Development, and Minister for Information, paid a high-level visit to the forward areas of Pasrur in Sialkot today. The visit aimed to recognize the bravery and professional excellence of the armed forces during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, a vital part of The Marqa-e-Haq campaign.
The Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir (NI-M), and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu (NI-M), also joined the visit.
During the visit, the Prime Minister received a detailed briefing on the operational conduct and current deployments of the armed forces. Commending the forces, he said, “Pakistan’s brave soldiers, empowered by the spirit of our people, have defended the motherland with courage and dealt a significant blow to India’s aggressive designs with unmatched determination and strategy.”
In his interaction with officers and personnel on the ground, the Prime Minister praised their dedication, skills, and high readiness. He remarked, “Pakistan takes immense pride in its courageous sons; they are the true crown of the nation.”
He condemned the targeting of innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, calling it a shameful violation of international laws and norms. Despite Pakistan’s offer for a neutral investigation, he noted, India deliberately avoided transparency, instead resorting to baseless accusations and unilateral aggression — which was effectively countered by Pakistan. Alhamdulillah.
The Prime Minister was warmly received by the Chief of Army Staff and the Commander of Gujranwala Corps during his visit.
